Al Ittihad Park on Palm Jumeirah is a 1.1 million sq.ft sustainable, green oasis containing more than 60 varieties of trees and plants indigenous to the UAE. Opened in 2012 to coincide with the UAE’s 41st National Day celebrations, the park was created as a special tribute to the nation. ‘Ittihad’ means ‘union’, and the park was built to be a relaxing place where Dubai’s communities could come together to meet and socialise in natural, shaded surroundings.
The park is flanked by a 3.2 km jogging track and has been designed as a unique, sustainable, eco-friendly focal point for inhabitants of Palm Jumeirah, as well as visitors and residents from across the UAE. Open 24 hours a day, with ample parking for visitors, Al Ittihad Park is a stunning natural tourist attraction for those wanting to learn about the country’s diverse plant life. The park contains many of the varieties of trees and plants found in the UAE’s deserts, mountains, wadis and coastal areas, many have medicinal uses and all require minimal watering to thrive,
Open 24 hours daily.
