Al Ittihad Park on Palm Jumeirah is a 1.1 million sq.ft sustainable, green oasis containing more than 60 varieties of trees and plants indigenous to the UAE. Opened in 2012 to coincide with the UAEâ€™s 41st National Day celebrations, the park was created as a special tribute to the nation. â€˜Ittihadâ€™ means â€˜unionâ€™, and the park was built to be a relaxing place where Dubaiâ€™s communities could come together to meet and socialise in natural, shaded surroundings.
The park is flanked by a 3.2 km jogging track and has been designed as a unique, sustainable, eco-friendly focal point for inhabitants of Palm Jumeirah, as well as visitors and residents from across the UAE. Open 24 hours a day, with ample parking for visitors, Al Ittihad Park is a stunning natural tourist attraction for those wanting to learn about the countryâ€™s diverse plant life.
