The school opened in September, 2004 and it has made significant progress both in terms of numbers and educational attainment.

The school delivers the National Curriculum for England from the Foundation Stage through to Key Stage 5 (3 years old to 16 years old). The school offers IGCSE examinations through Cambridge and Edexel in Years 10 and 11, and AS and A2nexaminations in Years 12 and 13. As is required by the National Curriculum for England teachers engage in continuous assessment to ensure that good progress is being made by every student. All students will also study Arabic language and Islamic Studies if Muslim.
